Oxford, England - 7 August 2020; No people in view - pandemic! Linking two parts of Hertford College, Oxford, its landmark Hertford Bridge - often dubbed The Bridge of Sighs was actually completed in 1914. Strangely, it doesn't resemble the Venetian Original at all; it actually looks more like the Rialto! Through the arc of the bridge. you can see more historic highlights of the city - the Bodleian Library (left), Sheldonian Theatre (centre) and Clarendon Building (right). As always, a circular fisheye lens adds to the strangeness in its own special way, exaggerating the curve of the bridge and throwing my shadow into the foreground. The characteristic distortions seem to work particularly well for this viewpoint.
