Jeffrey Smith, deputy director of Pacific Air Forces Safety, talks with peers about one of the myriad factors that impact the Asia-Pacific region's security environment. Smith took part along with 149 other regional security practitioners in the Asia-Pacific Orientation Course 16-1 Jan. 25 to 29. The course is one of six in-resident courses held at the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies in Honolulu.
