River Rouge, Michigan - Members of United Steelworkers Local 1299 picket Great Lakes Steel, a subsidiary of US Steel, protesting that the company violating their contract by ignoring seniority in calling workers back from a year-long layoff. The union also charges the company with scheduling large amounts of mandatory overtime while 300 union members are still laid off.
