Camel Corps by Major Cecil Brown (1868 - 1926) The Imperial Camel Corps were founded by the Allies in January 1916 to fight in the Sinai and Palestine Campaign during the First World War. About one thousand camels were used by the British, Australian and New Zealand troops. The sculptor of the statue, Major Cecil Brown served himself in the troops.
