Tugs and barges move sand, grain, bricks and beer along the River Spree in Berlin. The Berlin Spandau Ship Canal (Berlin Spandauer Schiffahrtskanal) is a navigable waterway use by barge traffic linking the River Havel at Spandau, in the western suburbs of Berlin to the Humboldthafen basin at the Central Railway Station.
