The coggedspindle works over theteeth cut across the last tooth towardsthe back of the bolt issmaller and projects lessthan the others, and thelast cut is wider than theintermediate ones; sothat when the bolt isthrown the cogged spin-dle wedges into the widecut and locks the bok,making it practically im-possible to throw it back by external pressure.
