Alpha-amanitin toxin and RNA polymerase. Computer model showing a molecule of the mushroom toxin alpha-amanitin inhibiting an RNA (ribonucleic acid) polymerase II complex. This toxin is an inhibitor of RNA II and III and is possibly the most deadly of all the amatoxins, found in several species of Amanita sp. mushrooms, including the death cap.
