Trident missiles are submarine-launched ballistic missiles that are armed with nuclear warheads. They have a range of 7,350 kilometres. This is a trident I, or C4, class missile. C4 missiles were deployed between 1979 and 2005 and were carried on 14 US Navy submarines and 4 Royal Navy submarines.
