Tulips are beginning to go off crop. There is a large cut of fine Span- ish irises, which are in excellent de- mand, both for shipping purposes and local consumption. The stems are un- usually long, and the blooms of good color and well formed. Outdoor sweet peas are getting more plentiful. A limited amount of outdoor lily of the valley is appearing. It is exceptionally good in quality and finds a ready sale. Orchids and gardenias are displayed liberally at the retail shops, indicating that they are sufficiently plentiful to warrant sale stimulation. Various Notes. The florists' establishments joined with other business places in closing their doors during the big i>&xfiie and "welcome home" demonstration, held.
