The main carhouse is located on one corner of a 30-acre tract that is used forthe companys yards and shops at Seventh Street and CentralAvenue, Los Angeles. Fig. 25 is a plan of the grounds andbuildings. The shops will be described later. The car houseis a brick building, 260 ft. x 260 ft. in size, and contains twentytracks, with room for 100 of the largest cars used on the sys-tem.
