Plant small to medium, spreading, glossy, dark green, drought resistant, thrifty and productive; resembles Henderson's Bush. Pods flat, contain 3-4 strongly flavored beans. Seeds small, flat, light, buff mottled with purplish black: 75 per oz. Peerless 3 1 71 A dwarf Fordhook type introduced by the U. S. Department of Agriculture, developed from a cross of Fordhook x Sieva. Plant somewhat larger than Henderson's Bush, with distinctive gray-green foliage; pods similar to Fordhook. Seeds, both im- mature and dry, somewhat smaller than Fordhook: 40 per oz. Triumph 2/2 7/8 70 Developed by the U. S. Department of Agriculture from a cross between Fordhook and Sieva; awarded the All-America Silver Medal for 1949. Plants somewhat more compact than Henderson's Bush, with dull dark green leaves; productive, with concentrated basal set. Pods straight, blunt and tightly filled, mostly with three beans of Baby Lima type but plumper. Seeds white, heavily dimpled and wrinkled: 65 per oz. ' W
