Portmeirion, aerial photograph. Portmeirion (Morfa Nefyn in Welsh), was the film location for the telvision series 'The Prisioner'. The village was designed and built by William Clough Ellis on his own private penninsula in Wales between 1925 and 1975. It was constructed in an Italinate style from architectural salvage from stately homes.
