These are now relaxed, and the weight of the paper istaken by two pairs of small fingers, or suspending rollers, at the topof the sheet, which are brought together by a cam, and, pressingslightly together, hold the sheet up during the instant of time thatthe stoppers are relaxing, and until the three pairs of vertical rollersu uy u w, uu, plates 4 and 5, are brought into contact to communicatethe lateral motion to the sheet. The vertical rollers are all driven atthe same speed as the printing drum by means of bevel wheels andpinions, as shown.
