Wolf-Rayet star and nebulae, infrared image. The star, called V385 Carinae, is surrounding by an expanding cloud of gas and dust (red) that it has shed. This star and the surrounding nebulae (green) are located around 16,000 light years from Earth, in the constellation of Carina. This image, published in 2010, was obtained by NASA's Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE).
