The truth is thatneither Mr. Purvis nor anyone else holds a brief to speak for all the members of theAmerican Poultry Association; and it is also true, as everyone at all familiar with thesituation knows, that a great many—possibly a majority—of the members of the asso-ciation, are at a loss to know how to vote, and not at all disposed to resent well meantsuggestions from any quarter. 1908.
