161113-N-DJ750-140 PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 13, 2016) – Chief Petty Officer Phillipp Pickle gives Royal New Zealand Navy sailors a tour of the boat deck of Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Sampson (DDG 102). Sampson will report to Third Fleet, headquartered in San Diego, while deployed to the Western Pacific as part of the Pacific Fleet-led initiative to extend the command and control functions of Third Fleet into the region.
