Money and flags adorn Thai Buddhist offering

These images were taken at a celebration in Northern Thailand. Every year, the local community comes together to create these so-called 'money trees' as offerings to the temple. In the afternoon, there is a lottery where monks draw numbers and take the tree associated with the number. There is also free food and entertainment provided by the congregation.
