Not for use in Television Not for use in Television Knuckle pads, or Garrod's pads, on a patient's fingers. These are benign (harmless), symptomless nodules that may grow over the knuckle joints and finger joints. They are often caused by repetitive trauma. Treatment is not necessary but may be sought for cosmetic reasons, in which case the pads can be surgically removed. However, recurrence is likely.
