Spinecheek anemonefish (Premnas biaculeatus), small male, with bleached Bubbeltip anemone (Entacmaea quadricolor). Manado, North Sulawesi, Indonesia.

Spinecheek anemonefish (Premnas biaculeatus), small male, with bleached Bubbeltip anemone (Entacmaea quadricolor). The tentacles of the anemone are usually a dull brown, but this anemone is bleached and has lost most of its endosymbiotic zooxanthellae. This can happen because of high water temperature.
