This locomotive, of which an engraving from a photo-graph is presented herewith, is of all-steel construction andwas designed by the mechanical department of the BrooklynRapid Transit Company. The locomotive has a weight of 57tons, which makes it too heavy for use on any of the elevatedstructures, but the switching work on the old steam franchiseroads in South Brooklyn will keep the locomotive well em-ployed.
