The aft part of the conning tower (’fin’) showing severe corrosion: AE2, Stoker’s submarine, scuttled on April 30, 1915. Later inspection in 2007 revealed that a large part of the aft section of the fin had been destroyed with just the top remaining, probably by ropes or nets from fishing vessels were responsible. The white rope above was the tied-off descent line for the divers. Karabiga, Canakkale Province, Turkey
