The rector. Rev. Ethicalsocieties, he said, may preach ideals, parliaments prescribemethods, literature describe the movements and processes ofcivilization, but the Church of the living God supplies the moraldynamic which makes possible all the rest. At seven oclock historical addresses were delivered at theCongregational Church and Saint Johns Church, by J. Ryder, D. D., of New York, and Rev. George , D. D., of Jersey City, respectively. Dr. Ryders sub-ject was Pilgrims from New Milfgrb. He said: Western Connecticut and Massachusetts contributed more. MEMORiAi, Axn public ltbrahy
