They sent for Mr. Edward Gels- thorpe who, at the time, was a vice president of Colgate- Palmolive Company. Although he knew little about farming or farm cooperatives, he did know a great deal about sales. Time has proven that they sent for the right man. Sales started rising and have been doing so steadily since 1963. The Massachusetts coopera- tive sees no immediate prob- lems in marketing although they are keeping an eye open at the higher rate of production in \\isconsin and other areas.
