William Pitt the Younger, (1759-1806), Tory Prime Minister of Great Britain, 1783-1800 (standing centre) addressing the Commons on the outbreak of the war with France (1793). Sitting opposite is Charles James Fox, (1749-1806), the Whig Leader of the Opposition. St Stephen's Chapel seen here was destroyed by fire in 1834.
