Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and Saint Sofia Church, Sofia, Bulgaria
The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier stands outside Saint Sofia Church. The monument was unveiled in 1981. An eternal flame burns within the monument. The city was renamed in honour of Saint Sofia Church in the 14th century. It was built during the reign of the Byzantine Emperor, Justinian, between 527 and 565.
