Now all this is tell me that the railroad operated by electricity andrunning entirely underground extends for fifteen miles—to the Kings Bridge at the very end of the Island, andthat the time consumed in the journey is less than 50minutes. When I went to the Kings Bridge in my dayit took the greater part of ten hours to make the journey. The sin of prolixity is ever present in an old man suchas I am.
