London, UK. 29 June 2015. London Transport Commissioner Sir Peter Hendy in the doorway of the mock up of an electric bus. The Mayor of London Boris Johnson announced that London is set to trial the world’s first purpose-built double-decker purely electric bus, during the first ever global Clean Bus Summit at City Hall. Organised with C40, a partnership of global cities acting on climate change, the summit had leaders of more than 20 other major cities and their representatives in attendance.
