The collection here offered embraces as complete a range of colors as it is possible to bring together in such a number of plants, with freedom of flowering, psrfect form, fragrance, hardiness and general excellence. In pruning Hybrid-Perpetuals cut away all weak growths, and if quality of bloom is desired, cut back the strong canes to within 8 or 9 inches of the ground, but if quantity of bloom for garden effect is desired, leave these canes from 2 to 3 feet high, according to their strength. Anna de Diesbach. Bright carmine-rose, a beautiful Rose of large size. Alfred Colomb. Bright red, large full globular flowers. Baroness Rothschild. A superb Rose, of pale, satiny-rose; very large. Captain Hayward. Scarlet-crimson, perfect form; sweetly scented. Clio. Delightful satiny-flesh with deep centre; the flowers are large, globular and borne on long stems. Frau Karl Druschki. This is the ideal hardy white Rose, pure in color, perfect in form, strong grower and remarkably free-flowering; superb in every way. General Jacqueminot.
