Jeje, young adolescent male of the Bossou study group, Guinea taking a break as seen in the BBC "Life" documentary on primates

This is the group of chimps I filmed when in Guinea for the BBC "Life series" which appeared in the primates episode directed by Patrick Morris. This series of photographs is taken of the Bossou study group in Guinea, West Africa. They are an habituated group having been studied for many years by scientists, interested in their tool using abilities. This particular troop is very adept at nut cracking as well as pestle palm pounding.
