041118-N-5345W-029 Arabian Gulf (Nov. 18, 2004) - Sailors assigned to the Air Department conduct a Scrub Exercise (SCRUBEX) on the flight deck aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier of USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). SCRUBEX's are performed periodically to reduce hydraulic fluid, grease and dirt buildup on flight decks and catwalks, which become extremely slippery, presenting a hazard to aircraft and personnel.
