Satellite image of a plume of dust (orange, centre and left) from the Sahara Desert moving over western Europe towards the UK (top left) on 15th March 2022. The cloud of dust is two kilometres above ground level and is being carried on the strong winds of storm Celia. Image obtained by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) sensor on NASA's Terra satellite.
