A recruit of Delta Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, participates in the Water Survival Basic Qualification at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Dec. 4. This qualification will be valid for the recruits for two years. Depending on their military occupational specialty, they may go through higher qualification levels. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Delta Company is scheduled to graduate Feb. 2.
