Gunnery Sgt. Clemente Batista, Staff Non-Commissioned Officer in charge of the funeral detail for Sgt. John C. Holladay, hands an American flag to Jack Holladay, the nephew of Sgt. Holladay, a World War II Marine Raider who was killed in action in 1943. After 73 years, Holladay’s remains were recently recovered and returned to his hometown of Florence, , April 4, 2016. Jack said that during this process he has received nothing but support from the local community and the Marine Corps.
