A helmet for a cuirassier officer, from the Reign of Kaiser Ferdinand I (1835 - 1848) Skull of black lacquered sheet iron. Gold plated mountings, with the cipher "F I" on the front plate. The metal chinscales and the rear edging are missing. Well-preserved helmet with the black/yellow wool crest. Black leather lining with a draw cord and two-piece chinstrap. The skull and comb have minor damage.
