Synopsis The major change is the in- crease in density and cover of Pinus ponderosa across the landscape. Growth of individual trees is apparent. Landscape on left side of picture shows rem- nants of a fire from 1984, which left some snags and removed several conifers. Cropland in center of photo has existed at least since 1918. 23.
