The Apricot is one of the most delicious of all fruits. It requires the same kind of soil and treatment as the peach. It is, how- ever, a favorite of the curculio, which must be kept in cheek as recom- mended for plums. The Bussian varieties (those marked with an "B") are much hardier than the others and peaches, and often succeed where these fail. Plant 15 feet apart each way. Alexander, R — Large, oblong, yellow and red; sweet and delicious. An immense bearer. One of the best. Early July. Alexis, R—Very large, yellow, with red cheek. Slightly acid, but rich. A rapid grower and free bearer. Middle July. Catherine, R—Vigorous medium size, yellow, mild, sub-acid. End July. Early Golden—Small, pale orange, juicy and sweet. Productive. July 1st.
