The territory to be disposed of comprises some 1,200 square miles in the basinsof rivers Ottawa, Harricana and Bell, in the Abitibi region ; 6,000 square miles inthe Lake St. John northern region ; 350 square miles in the Lake St. John Eastagency ; 242 square miles in the Matapedia division. On the first date above mentioned, permits will be offered at ordinary conditionson some 3,000 square miles.
