The next site sought forthe Preparatory School was the present location of the Grand Pacific Hotel, and this wasacquired for $8,000. At the next annual meeting, the location of an acadenij- in Chicago wasabandoned, but the land has been retained and, in 1891, was valued at about |r,000,000.
