John Anthony George Craven CBE is a British economist, a former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Portsmouth. In 2006, he founded the University Alliance, and served as its first chair until 2009. John Raymond Craven, OBE, FLS is an English journalist and television presenter, best known for presenting the BBC programmes Newsround, Countryfile and Beat the Brain.
