T~l 18 The Florists' Review Apbil 15. 1015. « **< DENVER. The Market. After several weeks of rain and cold, we are now enjoying real spring weather. The weather at Easter was ideal and everybody did a good busi- ness. Nearly all the stores had sold out their stock by noon. It was a tired but happy crowd of florists that wended their way homeward in the early afternoon. One thing I noticed during Easter afternoon was that most of the ladies in the "Easter parade" wore corsages of real flowers, instead of artificial ones. A good habit; let us all hope that the ladies will keep it up. Eoses and carnations are plentiful and of good quality. Tulips, hyacinths and jonquils are about over. There will be plenty of Darwin tulips outdoors in a week or ten days. Valley, mignon- ette, forget-me-nots, sweet peas, pansies and iris are plentiful and good. Some of the Herrick violets are the finest I have ever seen. Easter lilies and callas are scarce. Orchids are plentiful, but there is no call for them. Various Notes. Anton C. Zvolanek, the well known sweet pea specialist, of Lompoc, Gal., on his way to the coast stopped over in Denver for a few days last week to renew old acquaintances. Fred Burki, president of the Pitts- burgh Cut Flower Co., visited some of Denver's greenhouse establishments last week. He has been spending the winter in California and is now on his way to his home in the east. R. S. rremont, O.—Joseph Wetzel and E. H. Stout have purchased the green- houses of the Clyde Floral Co., at Clyde, O., which have been conducted by Leo. P. Wagner, who also has a range at Sandusky. Mr. Stout will take charge of the greenhouses, while Mr. Wetzel will continue to attend to his store on Arch street. METROPOLITAN P^tantad Liquid Putty Machine $ Each. The Only
