Emperor Maximilian of Mexico (1832 - 1867) - a presentation case 1866., Fire-gilded copper, lined with red velvet and red moiré silk. The lid bears rich relief rocaille and floral decoration, and in the centre, a hand-painted miniature on porcelain of a lady on a white horse with two greyhounds. Surrounded by the engraving, "Aus den Händen Seiner Majestät - Kaiser Max von Mexico im Jahre 1866" (From the hands of His Majesty - Emperor Max of Mexico in the Year 1866).
