Koege, Denmark. 5th September, 2014. The newly found Viking Ring Castle close to Copenhagen. First for a few days ago the archaeological team from the Danish Castle Center was 100% sure that the actually had excavated a Ring Castle. They had important assistance from Helen Goodchild, archaeologist and specialist in “Geomatics” at York University, UK, in order to map out the possible castle, which will throw new light on the Viking era. This is the 5th Viking Ring Castle in Demark. The last was discovered for 60 years aho. Credit: OJPHOTOS/Alamy Live News
