The dog is equipped with a video recorder and head- mounted camera, known as a wireless operated link video exploration system (WOLVES). The dog can enter buildings where it is too dangerous to send people and send back information which will help to build up a clear picture of the threat posed inside a building. The equipment can also be used in dangerous open ground.
