Muthumariamman Temple or Arulmigu Sri Muthumari Amman Kovil is a temple in Matale, Sri Lanka built in 1874. The prefix ÒMuthuÓ, literally means ÒpearlÓ. "Mari" means rain and "Amman" means mother. The temple is dedicated to Mariamman, the goddess of rain and fertility.[
