But nothing is easier than to climbinto these sycamores; and, in fact, here js a score of boysand girls in this one; and as its giant arms stretch quiteacross the road, those on them can look directly down uponany crowd jiassing beneath. It is admirably adapted to thepuqwsc for which Zaccheus selected it. True; and, moreover, it is generally planted by the way-side, and in the open spaces where several paths meet, justwhere Zaccheus found it. This sycamore is a remarkabletree. It not only bears several crops of figs during theyear, but those figs grow on short stems along the trunk Luke XV. 16. T-<nke xix. 4.
