Ludlow castle


Ludlow Castle also the Prince’s Palace is at the confluence of the Temd and Corve. Roger de Montgomery built the castle. It was taken by Henry L and withstood the siege by King Stephen. The valley below is known as Corvesdale. The image was drawn by J J Ibbetson and engraved by S Middiman
