This was won by Eobert Breitshoe, with Henry Braun, Jr., second, and George Patten, third. The paper bag throwing contest, for ladies, was won by Mrs. A. W. Gumz; Miss G. Kuemire, second, and Mrs. H. G. Berning, third. The 50-yard dash for boys of 12 years and under was won by E. Easton; El- mer Rowe, second, and Eugene Wors, third. The running high jump, for florists only, brought out a fine company of athletic-looking young men. After many jumps, the contest narrowed down to three. In the finals it was won by Eugene Kuehner; Ray Wiedcrholt, sec- ond, and Frank Sanders, third. The doughnut eating contest, for girls from 12 to 17 years old, created much fun. Thirty girls participated and Miss Helen Madson won first prize; Miss P. Dcare, second, and Hilda Kueli ner, third. The Japanese race for little girls was won by Miss D. Young; Jose
