A pair of French fingered gauntlets, circa 1580 Articulated metacarpus of five lames, with embossed and roped knuckle-guard. Attached articulated finger defences, several joints are good replacements. Ridged hinged thumbs of three overlapping plates. Long ridged cuffs set off with border strips and having embossed and turned under egdes. Numerous decorative rivets displaying a fleur-de-lys in relief. Leather is mostly replaced or restored.
