The bolts being placed beneath therail, no punching or drilling of the web of the rail is required,nor is there any notching of the rail flanges. It can be appliedto any weight of rail from 56 lbs. upward, with a minimumchange in construction, the only variable feature being theangle which the top of the rall-fiange makes with the inside member of the joint D makes and maintains theline of track.
