Looking back at the base camp at the start of the "community" Inca trail.

The Inca Trail is a trekking "holiday" that will vary from 1 to 7 days - the route and difficulty will vary and end at Machu Picchu. Probably the most popular are the "classic" and "community" that are 4 and 5 days respectively. The biggest problems on the Inca trail is changeable weather (it can be "4 seasons in a day") and altitude. This section of the trip is from Quishuarani up to the Huillquicasa pass at 4400 meters.
